The emergence of the environmental “green” movement has also taken businesses and the nation by storm. The purpose of this year’s symposium is to examine the many points of intersection between the two fields and the growing importance to the legal community, the nation, and the world. Questions emerge on whether IP rights are needed to promote green technology innovation and how much of a limitation IP rights might be on the introduction of useful technology into the marketplace. These issues have an international impact, as the environmental impact of energy is a hotly debated issue. Political repercussions make this a hot political issue, which could lead to reforms in the patent field.

Please Note: Speakers and events are subject to change.
